No mobile data connection Android 7.1.1 Umi Z Pro

I upgraded my Umidigi Z Pro to Android 7.1.1 three weeks ago.
Since the update, my phone doesn't connect to the mobile data connection after i was using my local Wifi.
Only after restarting the phone, the phone is able to stay connected for a few minutes, afterwards i have to restart it again...

Is anyone here with the same problem?
Cam somebody please help me?

(Sorry for the bad english, but in the german form i'm waiting for an answer since already 3 weeks)

Android 7 is supporting saving mobile data when phone is in Wi-Fi range.
Maybe you are still in Wi-Fi range but very weak cause not switching back to mobile data.
Please go to settings - WiFi - top right corner gear icon  - advanced and switch off network notifications and WiFi on during sleep - never.

I updated my umi z to android 7 and now I don't have data, it was working before the update, also I reset the phone to the factory default and still nothing happen, any ideas?

Please check for IMEI numbers (settings - about phone - status - sim status) if you have 111111 or 22222 you need restore IMEI numbers with SN writer.

Also please check APN settings (settings - more - mobile networks - access point names and if you using third parties network provider you need activate data roaming.

Hi i make everithing you say but evry time i use wi fi the mobile data connection is out and i have to restart my umi z .
Please help me to resolve this big problem i like this phone but with this problem is no good

Hello, this is my second Umidigi phone and up to now I've been very happy. However, like others on here I too keep losing my mobile data connection a device the only way to get it back is to restart the phone.


I work in central London so know that the signal is good. I've tried switch LTE off, having only either 4g or  3g as a preferred network but every time after 5, 10 maybe 30 minds it will drop out and require a restart.


I've only had this issue since updating to 7.1.1

I have the exact same problem. Only started after the 7.1.1 and update.

I'm considering returning the phone at this point because it no longer properly

I have checked all the settings multiple times - this is a bug in the OS update

I had same problem. This is definitely a problem with this version, but I solved it disabling "Enhanced 4G LTE mode".

Same problem here.....
Checked all connection settings, APN IMEI etc etc.....

Finally I got myself a new NFC simcard from Vodafone and performed a hard reset.
That made my 4G voLTE connection working.
