Just got my Z today. Works like a charm. Fingerprint scanner, 4g, speed, camera is in tip top shape.

Just wanted to share this, as the forum was a bit on the negative side. I am one saitisfied owner.

I suspect there might be a bad batch or something in circulation. It would be interesting to see a list of where the problem-phones were bought from. I got mine from gearbest. Top notch.

I Bought mine on Gearbest too and I'm a pretty happy owner as well !

Actually, the only problem I noticed is the 3G acting a bit weird (other French members noticed it as well), on the other hand, 4G seems to be perfectly fine when available.

Total agreement. I've got mine from Gearbest and everything is working fine. The only thing which isn't quite good is the fast battery drain. But mostly I came through the day with one time charging.

Edited by odedshankar at 2017-2-14 18:21 \n\nfirst of all, nice to hear some good feedback folks :-) i'm glad to hear that not everyone are winers like me :-) just joking.
Just to try and verify the fingerprint scanner problem, can you guys test the fingerprint scanner in one of your online bank applications please.
In my device, to open the phone - the fingerprint scanner work reasonably(not that accurate but works), but when i try to use it for one of my bank apps it never works, not a single time, interesting to see if its only in my device or a problem in the software that doesn't transfer the right parameters to 3'rd party apps. Will love to hear your feedback.

Cheers

Don't have a bankapp with fingerprint, so can't test. I've had the phone for a couple of days now and I don't have the battery drain problem. I've kept applications to a minimum though (habit after owning a cursed samsung s6 with extremely bad battery).

The only hickups I've had is bluetooth seems to be a bit buggy. But after deactivating bluebooth for 5-10s and turning it back on it's back in business. So it doesn't bother me that much.

Anyone reading this thread, having problems. Question: Where did you buy your phone?

i bought mine on Banggood - got it with 2 large surface scratches on the screen, as annoying as it is they refunded $20 but i can live with that as its not that bad after i applied the tempered glass protector.
The phone functions fine so i don't think it is a hardware problem, the ROM software is rough around the edges and has some annoying little bugs so i hope they will fix them soon.

Those guys claiming that they have no issues - perhaps you just haven't discovered them or you are not using those functions.
OR - UMI has managed to manufacture just 2 or 3 real phones:-)

Edited by Baki at 2017-2-15 16:21 \n\nYou are not aloneAfter transfering data I have finally decided yesterday to activate my sim cards (two different mobile operators) as well.
It was a real positive surprise to have it automatically configured and in operating mode without any issues (4G and 3G).

That was always a pain to do with my Samsungs (S5, A7-2015 and A7-2016).

Yeah,
the Sim-card managment is nice and it is working very well..
switching mobile data between both cards is working fast and smooth.
