Well i just managed to do some test before the new owner of the UMI Z would pick it up, it is sold.

Picture with IMG are UMI
Picture with Image are Iphone 6

Iphone 6 is not newest tecnology but UMI is brand new, the market price for 2 years old iphone is similar to the new UMI

This is not to try to make any argument but only to show the admin the different between these phones ( he saked for comparison, and i know this is not the best but the only i could to at the moment), i belived when i was buing the UMI it would be the newest and best in everything, but that is maybee my mistake.

Best regards
Jens

Thank you, finally it's a useful stuff.
Due to the same size, that's better to compare UMi Z with iPhone 6 Plus
You can compare the prices, performance and features of the 4GB/32GB UMi Z with the 1GB/16GB (not expandable) iPhone 6 Plus here:
https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/apple-iphone-6-plus-16gb,umi-z
I used 2 photos from the list with the most colorful theme to compare them. I only cropped the images and matched the resolutions since the iPhone has an only 8Mp back camera.
After clicking on the photo, you can zoom in with your mouse.

Now everyone can see the details, compare at least one image pair, then make their own thoughts.

Edited by Daphone at 2017-1-31 15:44 \n\nI will on average use a phone camera less than 5 times every year, for the most its to take a picture if writing on something is too small for my old eyes to read.

For everything else i have a Nikon Dslr and a Sony camcorder, and a horde of other small cameras, in my car alone there is 5 cameras.

But phone cameras, while they can be pretty good by now i still pass on them.

I am sure for a 200 dollars investment i will be as happy as a phone hater can be with the Z or any phone, but when the old folkes are gone so will any phone be.

BTW i old Asus tablet of mine never had the camera work, it do take pictures but so bad it cant even focus on a Qr code.

PS. x-mas evening i touched a apple product for the first time, and since then i have washed myself 5 times every day and i still feel dirty.

I think you went into buying a £199 phone with to much expectation on the camera. The processor is what really make this device interesting. (Scored over 100 000 on Antuntu and more or less scored the same result as the One Plus T on Geekbench!)

To compare the camera of the iPhone 6 with Umi Z is a no brainer, the iphone will blow it out the park. Even though its last years iphone model the camera on that device is really good. You can still buy 2 umi z phones for the price of 1 iphone 6.

Chinese manufacturors at this price range will always compromise on the camera to cut the costs, if you want a phone with a flagship camera, be prepared to pay £300 more.

I showed my interest buying the phone from you yesterday but never got a response, glad to see you managed to sell it so you can buy something more suitable for your needs.

The raw power of the processor and GPU makes it a perfect phone for heavy graphic games. Its also good to have that power in handy of you do video editing on the go.

Its understandable that users have different needs. If you want a really good camera on a smartphone today you will have to pay about £500.

If you want a good Android smartphone at that price point go for the Huawei Mate 9. My sister that love taking photos and do food vlogs use that decvice and it has a really good camera. That phone has even more raw power then the Umi Z with a topnotch proccessor and GPU plus an amazing camera. Check out a few reviews on youtube, that way its easier to make up your mind.

Yes there is a lot of phones, but I cant get Huawei here in Iceland and most of the phones I would want  are not CE market and I cant import them because of that. I would love to get Huawei Mate 9 if it is CE marked.

At this point I couldn't agree less. Your statment suggests a huge difference in quality, although that's obviously not the case. Moreover, for easy capturing and for using in social media, maybe I'd choose the iPhone but I'd go for the UMi Z if my need is post processing.

As far as processor and GUP goes i'd pick the Umi Z (Never been a fan of apple products.) A top notch camera never been what i look for in a phone since i rarely use it. Im more into the raw power and usefullness of open source and not be locked into a echo system with overpriced products for the fanboys.
If i compare photos with an iphone 6s instead of the iphone 6 which came out 2 years ago the difference is even bigger. (upgraded camera to 12 megapixel)

But yes, i agree with you, the difference beteen the 6 and umi only differs to iphone 6 in lowlight performance where the 6 still outshine the Z.
