Don't... The same just happened again. It seems like this came out after the auto optimization it does when you turn on your phone. The first times I turned on it was ok, then the archive optimization thing at the startup came on and the problem is here again, after the 4th or 5th full reflash and reset (so I had to re-install apps etc.)
Very disappointed...
If there's no solution I will be forced to buy a new phone and I won't go for an umidigi anymore. I can't reset my phone twice a week!

Great! today my phone did another "Archive Optimization" and now after 1-2 minutes it reboots, and it keeps rebooting forever (again, I tried everything to avoid the boot loop but I'm no lucky), I'm now reflashing it again until my new phone will be here. Hope it will be alive for some days more until I get the new one.

Hi, I have UMIDIGI CRYSTAL 4GB/64GB and it did not received any OTA Updates!
Why? I Open Wireless update it shows that my device software is currently up to date and the current softare is UMIDIGI_Crystal_v1.1_20170920_1638 and your blog show that the last update is in december 2017!
how can i update my phone OTA without download the ROM ?
and now the phone have to much lags and the system stoped many times

Greetings to all, I decide to write because I have the same problem as your (a.bala1213) same copilation and check out of the system, I read a lot in the forum and my conclusion is that they do not think about updating this terminal, I have had many Umi - Umidigi (roma, hammer, max, crystal) in my hands, in Spain and they are a disaster in the system, if it is updated badly and if it is not updated worse (if you do not give a good update service, you will not want yours company, how customers want to buy your products, think about it .....

Latest ROM is only available through to SPFT.
Every previous update is available through to SPFT or OTA zip file and needs to be updated manually as local (instruction is provided with OTA zip file)
If you want update your phone, you should choose which way you want to do.
If you choose SPFT you can jump directly to latest ROM.
But OTA zip file only contains repairing patch and you need use one by one and always only next higher number but still you will be not able use latest ROM because is not available as OTA.

Hello again, I have not explained myself well and summarize my conclusions, then it is not understood or is misinterpreted (translator), my conclusion is that I do not want to throw more hours of my life in front of a computer and after a mobile phone (configuring it again) because you can not do a well done update (for work time, company problems or etc), I and many users when they read the word "problems", after updating that we read from other threads, they do not want to know nothing of SPFT or OTA, everything can be done better and worse, the important thing is to try it, not forget it and wait for a divine signal (we ask for more information, global rom ....), more of the same with other actors (smartfhones) different

Yes, if you uncheck the userdata partition (the last one in the list) before starting the flashing process.
