I am thinking of flashing the last firmware again, just in case, can you give me step by step instru ...

Ok
Firstly you should use computer with Windows xp or Vista 32 bit or 7,8,10 64 bit.
You need download vcom driver, SPFT,  and ROM  all from here
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5061-1-1.html
Then you need install (firstly use mediatek auto installer if doesn't work use vcom driver) vcom driver switch of your phone remove sim and SD cards from phone, use genuine USB cable, and connect phone to computer you should get information Mtk device com.... Or something similar on pop up if you get message your driver is OK and plug out you phone (remember which USB port you used and use always same one, I recommend use USB 2.0 not 3.0)
You can get some information from this thread
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5776-1-1.html
Then open ROM file and unzip/extract to folder (make your own folder)
Install SPFT on computer and open
Open scatter loading tab and search for your new folder click on scatter file,  should download on SPFT all partitions and all boxes should be checked
Then unfold tab under scatter loader file and change to firmware upgrade
Click on download on SPFT
Plug in your switched off phone in to computer
After 10 minutes all should be done
You loose all your apps and data (pictures etc)

No there is no need push any combination of buttons. All process should start it self after press download on SPFT and plug in phone to computer. If phone is on boot loop (phone can't be switched off and battery can't be disconnected as is build in) then you need press and hold power button until flashing process starts (around 10 seconds)
