Hi, I cannot get this OTA update to install at all. the phone gets stuck at rebooting, if I download ...

You have to place it on an external SD card. Trying to load the OTA from the internal drive will fail as the internal drive (data partition) gets formatted during the process.

Hi, I'm running firmware 20190724_20190904-1638. Can anyone confirm that this is still the latest? I'm outside EU.
I'm interested to know if there might be a fix for the camera. I'm fairly sure that it was this -1638 version that made the camera operate very slowly with the external 128GB SD card. It takes about 15 seconds for a video recording to start after the record button is pressed, and about 5 seconds for a photo to appear in the photos app, if it does at all. Frequently the photo just disappears.

If I move the camera storage back to internal the response is virtually instant. I've bought a new SD card and the problem is the same, both are brand name class 10 cards bought from a reputable local store.

Thanks

When is Android 11 going to be posted? Does anyone from Umidigi actually read these posts?

On May 14th 2021 Umidigi has closed any hope of getting an upgrade to cover all the security patches released for Android 9. There is also no hope of getting and upgrade to Android 10 or Android 11. Considering they didn't have everything Android 9 is supposed to have this is expected. I have tried to open a ticket on the issue of updates and they all get unanswered and closed.  I did get one response that basically said this ROM was the last one. No more after this one. I'll be glad when I can afford a 5G phone and get off of the Umidigi phones. They worked better than any other one that I have had. Sad that they do so little to keep the software upgraded. I'm going with a phone that has at least a three year window for updates and upgrades.
Goodbye Umidi
