The update is on the way for the Iron. That's my recent info from a few hours ago. I don't know what's happening under the hood.

friend, Bencebacsi I know you're only spokesman, but it is frustrating to know I made a bad investment, by misleading advertising, of this company.

No new info about that, just the story of the hard job caused by the new products. I tried to convince them about the importance of support and reputation, but I was not effective until now. I'm not a Chinese one and not staying there in Shenzhen.

I don't want to repeat myself, but prioritize new products, when the existing ones still doesn't work perfectly is not a good strategy if you want to build a reputable brand.
I think if they would provide better support for existing product, they may sell more from these products.
This can be cheaper for them too. Less R&D cost and if you build more from the same product the cost of one piece will be cheaper. (But I'm not an economist)

that is worth an official forum of a company if there is no official representative in her.

if they ignore the words of the moderator that we can expect more of this company

with existing phones with several flaws and dissatisfied customers.
and yet still releasing phones failures and disappointed customers, like to see,the bad investment, to be made.

There's a new colleague at UMI who controls this forum from now. He is Frank, who also controls the UMIadmin user from now. He is a Shenzhen resident close to the company. Let's see what happens.

I have to agree with loco on this, I was excited about getting my Umi Iron but with all these problems we are having (that are taking forever to resolve) is really taking the shine off. So much so that I probably won't buy another Umi after this, which is a shame... As the phone feels really nice, and could be damn near perfect if you guys would fix all these little issues.

My biggest problem at the moment is WiFi cutting out every 10 minutes or so, fix this and I will be a happy man.  I may even consider buying the next best model from Umi when I get bored of this.

I have experienced WiFi connectivity issues
only on networks, which require non-usual methods of authentication and encryption (using the WPA supplicant for PEAP+MSCHAPv2).
On all others - it has been flawless so far.
