Very few phones have Android N and already Google is releasing betas of Android O. I'm beginning to think N/7 may be causing trouble for manufacturers. I have a Google Nexus 5 running the Lineage OS release of Android 7.1.2 without any trouble but I'm not rich enough to try other phones. Android 7 seemed OK on my ZPro but I reverted to the previous Android 6 release because I expected to be downloading 7 by now. Last I heard from a moderator was 7 was being released by the end of the week.

Dear Users,

The OTA update is almost ready to be released but as a reaction to the testers' feedback, some unplanned modifications are being processed causing some delay. According to the latest info, the SP Flash Tool format of the first final version is going to be released on this Saturday (I'll share it here in the ROM section as soon as possible), then after a few days of testing, it will be pushed to the OTA server as an official and wireless system upgrade.

I think "well optimized" can be subjective.
The team would, I trust, do their best to ensure a bug free release. However, the variable would be the end users.

I don't think any development team anywhere will be able to cater to the myriad of users world wide. At best they can only ensure the "basics are right". I've no doubt that upon the adoption of the official 7.1.1, there will be users who will face some issues, since we are all over the world.

Importantly, at least to me, is that Umidigi continues to address the new issues that will surface upon rollout of the upgrade. It will be the support rendered that will give any brand sustenance, just my personal opinion.

I trust that the rollout would be "generally" bug free.

Cheers!

I guess that the word of the moderator is as true and strong as water... For a months he has been saying that next week is THE week.. hopefully we get nougat before Christmas... The z pro is a crappy phone right now.. Snapchat makes the phone crazy hot in 5min, the battery drops as it was a 2000mah battery, performance is buggy, the phone reboots everyday, all around bad stability.. worst rom I've seen. Only the stock android is making up fior all those problems!

Thanks for the update moderator. I personally would not mind waiting a few extra days, or even a week for the issues to be resolved. That way I'm getting a better update. Just my two cents.
