No one with at least a minimum of a common sense shouldn't push you toward Android 7.x
What most owners of at least UMI Z model want from you is a phone that is bug free, with a longer batterry life, better pictures and more functional core apps.
Who cares about a top of the line processors? Some freaks which are the minority in a community.
Listen the voice of the 95% of your customers.
If you are not sure make a surveys. You could easily pick up a relevant answers to all your dilemas.
And so on and so on.

Please flash with SPFT to this ROM and all will work fine.
If you want use new camera app you need join latest Android 6.0 "system" partition to oldert drivers.

I want to stay on Android 7. If I do master reset what happens with touch? Will it improve?

If your touch screen issue has a software origin after updating to Android 7.0, a simple factory data reset might not enough to resolve it. I suggest you to flash with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode.

You're doing quite well your job here.

But you have to understand us umi plus E (and other devices as well) owners.

We were promised lot of things, we were promised high quality device with "outstanding" perfs.
What we got is a typical low-to-midlle end phone: nice design and nice screen but terrible camera, frequent touch screen issues, constant touch sensor issues, bad connection, and some engineers that launched 3 new devices in 4 monthes, but did not released any significant updates for them not even saying updates that would clear the issues we are facing...

So what ?

I don't care about 7.0. current 6.0.1 would be perfect, if it was dealing well with the hardware ...which is obviously not the case.
This is my first and last Umi. I took Umi advertisement for granted, expecting this would be the right pick up, high end-low price as were Google nexus 4 and Asus z551ML that I used to own.
Fail.

Thank you for your appreciation but let's get through your list. You probably own only one device, so you cannot know how they perform generally.
1. Typical low-to-middle end phone: If we mention only the 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM, you hardly can find smartphones with such parameters even in the high-end section while the Helio P20 SoC puts this phone into the mid-high section. These are objective facts.
2. Terrible camera: At this one point I somewhat must agree with you. The camera is based on a quite good quality sensor but the quality of the lens spoils the result. However, to call it terrible sounds to be quite exaggerated. Here's a 4K video recording: https://youtu.be/FBS6DuANp78 and some photos captured with a UMi Plus E:






3. Touch screen, fingerprint scanner (I guess you mean that) and connection issues: These are absolutely not frequent problems. It can happen (sometimes) after version updates but in such cases you just have to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool and that fixes such software issues.

Hardware is one thing, optimization and how everything is working together is another one. You may put the very best components in a single device, without adequate optimization, it won't perform well. 64gb is nice for sure, but a 64gb memory card is worth roughly 15€...as for the 6GB RAM. My former Zenfone 2 (ZE551ml) had 4gb, and a 2.5 year old Soc, and was getting similar scores on most benchmarks, I can't see any added value for the extra 2gb.

Anyway, those pics are ok, but obviously thez were taken in best possible conditions: still subject, good light. Fortunately they are ok !
Then you're right I only own one device.
But I'm scrolling through tis forum quite often, and therefore am able to see whiat problems are occuring, and how frequently.

\n\nSorry guys, UMI Plus E is my 6 or 7th Smartfone I can tell you this fone is great. I have no bugs, pictures are little darker as asual. Other works great. I love pure Android tried latest update html5test result 505 of 555 maximum points. Compare to Zenfone 2 which was horrible fone or my older Samsung Galaxy 4 with the worst UI  I ever had. I disabled only 2 applications from pure Android (google movies and speech to text) compare to disable more than 20-30 bloatware in Zenfones and installed ZENFONE Launcher. This will be my fone for more than 2 years without speculations to switch it asap as ZENFONE 2 before. And GPS fix until 3-5 seconds

Has someone already got this smartphone to write here about low quality? Here's how the buyers will receive and check in action then and talk.
My girlfriend is the owner of Zenfone 2 Selfie. I can say that this is the worst smartphone! The shell is overloaded with unnecessary applications. The camera is constantly braking and tupit. A disgusting smartphone!

my Rome X works ok but the GPS failed after a few weeks, the phone is OK the software just lacks polish
I wouldn't spend a lot of money on an UMI phone, I won't be taking advantage of the presales until I know what faults the CNote has.
