So we still don't know, does the UMI Iron have hardware accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass?

Strange, this is an official forum and we are only guessing, so I just don't get why the UMI doesn't publish full specs? It's a bad example for presenting new device. Having hardware sensors, but not yet supported by software is acceptable for a while, but not having a hardware sensors and still announcing them in specs is not acceptable.

Hi ats. I think you've missed my post on the previous page. The Iron does not have the gyroscope or magnetometer sensors and they are not listed on the official product page on umidigi.com.

I hope this helps.

These sensors listed on many resellers site eg on Banggood.
And I asked about it and they just cited their spec on the product page so they said it has all the sensors.
Also the quick guide in the review units' box mentioned the gyroscope. The official spec however says G-sensor instead of Gyroscope.
I really miss the gyro since without gyro, I can't use my cardboard VR.

But to make the guessing more complicated, check the AOSP sensor API guide:
"The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) provides three software-based motion sensors: a gravity sensor, a linear acceleration sensor, and a rotation vector sensor." "All three of these sensors rely on a gyroscope: if a device does not have a gyroscope, these sensors do not show up and are not available for use."

All of theses sensors appear in AnTuTu as AOSP sensor, so maybe the Iron really have a gyroscope, but the implementation is not ready yet.

Anyway, I'm done with guessing and patiently wait for my Iron .
