I still have an early Super from last June but the fingerprint scanner always worked perfectly wit ...

I've tried this flashing method but doesn't help in my case, the fingerprint sensor still trying to read fingers without touching it but works 100%  in version 20160923. Disassemble my phone is not and option for me because I don't have any experience doing it. So I think that UMI team should make some software for adjust or check the fingerprint behavior because it's really strange that it doesn't work ok in all versions since 20161017 update.

Even if the battery life is still good (IMO) the BT takes an inproportionately large toll of the jui ...

This is a known bug in first releases of Nougat 7 (Even the first release by google had this bug) and before Umi optimize it with a software update there's a quick fix for this.

  • Go to Settings » Battery.
  • Touch the 3-dot menu in top-right corner and select Battery optimization from there.
  • Touch the drop down menu and select All apps from there.

  • Scroll down and select Bluetooth share » select Don’t optimize » select DONE.
  • Similarly, disable optimization for other apps on your device that you use with Bluetooth (like music streaming apps).

That’s it. Hope this quick tip helps in fixing Bluetooth battery drain issue on your Umi Super running 7.0 Nougat.

Bluetooth also interferes with the WiFi connection  Post time 2017-2-1 01:51
Thanks, I'll try it, but I think that there is another problem.  Post time 2017-2-1 01:50

if i want to revert back to marshmallow how is the proper way to flash?do i have to format+download or firmware upgrade in spft or
can i just flash with spft twrp,do a full factory reset and in twrp flash a rom?
or do i have to flash stock 6.0 rom first with spft...
Thx

What i would do if i was you (and i'm not, this is just what i did myself and it has worked for me.)

Before you do this take out your SD card if you have one.

Boot into TWRP and hit the wipe button. Swipe and do a factory reset.

After that in the same menue of wipe there's an Advance option. Tick everything in there which will wipe all the data and system files. (You will now be without a OS, which in this case is a good thing.

Go back to the main menue to reboot your device and chose the option to power off.

When the phone now is powered off you can use SPFT and use the Marshmallow android version of your choice. Use download only mode, not firmware upgrade and there is no need to format your phone which would delete your iemie number and you had to recover it which is a long processs. Just untick the recovery if you want to keep TWRP.

If you don't take these steps before flashing a custom rom running Marshmallow 6.0 you will be stucked in a bootloop since the kernal for Nougat isn't compatible with 6.0. There's also a lot of other system files you want to get ridd of before a downgrade and installing a custom rom again.

I'm not saying that this is the way to do it but that's how i've done it and it worked out for me.

There's no way. The fingerprint still not work but when I downgrade to 20160923 is perfect, so it isn't a hardware problem. I don't know what to do.

If UMI tried to make avaible a software or application (or something) for calibrate or set to zero the sensor everything would be much simpler. I don't really want to disassemble phone with the risk of worsening the situation. I'll try next update, if it does't work I'll stay to 20160923.

Ps: I don't think I'm the only user with this unbearable bug.

You are right I have the same problem as you and still with any fix (I've maked all the suggestions that are posted on this forum for try to solve the problem without any sucess), so I've go back to 20160923 version too.

i had in no rom any problem with the fingerprint
and i have flashed all roms and custom roms...so maybe there is hardware version difference

only thing i have it sometimes doesnt work with first touch..so press a little harder and ok.
in the first roms it was possibel to record one finger up to five times
,but in newer roms its seeing the same finger and therefore difficult to record twice
