Switching from picture mode to video mode will make the camera laggy.
Just enter in gallery mode from the camera video mode and press the back button.
After this the camera won't have low fps.
Probably a developer forgot to fully shut down the picture mode when pressing the video mode.
Or just enter in video mode, turn off the screen with power button and turn it back on.
This is solid advice, thank you very much.
Hopefully Umidigi developers will fix the issue, it's very annoying and it basically prevents you from using this important function of the phone.
My solution is to use the Footej camera app, i.e. its video recording function. A lot better than the current video recording implementation in the Umidigi One (Pro).
thanks for the great advice. I just got my phone and anticipated a lot, so I was really disappointed about this when showing my tinderblock to my friends. Since Footej is not free if you want access to some settings, I really would like to see this fixed at some point. The camera seems OK, though I really wouldn't know since I usually only use old film cameras.
yes it's an issue, it's been reported several times, but still not fixed. Probably will remain as is. I don't know it if applies to One though, this thread is for One Pro which I have as well.
