Only Helio P10 based smartphone were affected by GPS issues, regardless of their brand and model. The Z Pro is built with Helio X27 and no GPS issues have been ever reported.

No since UMI plus the gps works fine

This was a big concern of mine before getting the Z Pro as GPS was terrible on the Plus but it seems fine on the Z Pro.

Comparing to the oldie Motorola Moto G2 GPS in Z Pro works really good. It had no problem at showing my location while sittin in my living room
