Could you please fix one big issue with UMI Plus?
I love the phone and upgrade to Nougat is impressive already.
But do you not watch the Youtube reviews to better your product?
Why is the physical left capacitive key set to menu instead of multitasking?????
This feature/habit died back at the end of Kitkat even samsung has now finally set capacitive buttons to multitasking menu I want to buy 3 more for family and friends but this is really holding me back.
Set and option to decide or just change it.
While might seem small just like all the Youtube reviewers RedSkull etc say it should be changed in an update it's extremely backward and no reason for it.
Would be a 9/10 phone but because of this one serious flaw to me the phone is a 6/10. Please fix. If the reason your sticking to it is for press and hold of home key its so silly. This is the old way of thinking

I'm not wanting UMI to be like another company but it would be nice to listen to consumers and reviewers while also sticking closer to Android guidelines. It would also be very easy to implement an all around win for us the consumers and UMI as reviewers will have one less con and then the UMI plus is close to the perfect phone

Hello, I don't find anything strange in this request. I already have a Samsung and that UMI left button is strange. So annoying in fact that I always have to rely on the navigation bar.
As Dunnbuns said, I too have seen several reviews where they said it is awkward and it really is to the point where it makes it useless.
But you can keep ignoring these opinions. This won't make the situation any better for UMI though. Wouldn't you have as many customers as Samsung has ? Then why make the use of a UMI phone more difficult for them who dared to buy a UMI ?

Hi
This is very strange thinking.
Why you want to umi have same setup with physical buttons as Samsung.?
If you prefer Samsung setup you can always choose Samsung devices.
I prefer left button as advanced/widget settings
Right as back button
And centre as home but with long press as multitasking.
You can't only thinking about yourself as everybody could have his own preferences and that why every manufacture trying change setup to get more customers.
We can always ask why umi not using singel button as I phone. But I phone doesn't have two option there (multitasking and home/back)
Or we can compare to elephone as they using only single button with four functions.
This subject is very dip and we need try get compromise to make every user happy

No not just Samsung in particular... Android since lollipop it is standard to have recent apps key flanking home button either to the left or right.
Not just Samsung but all companies.
I don't want UMI to be like Samsung I don't like Samsung.
I'm just saying its easier for us the consumer to have recent apps key. Watch the reviews on Youtube of your product one of the only cons most reviewers say is the set up of the capacitive buttons. You should listen to people who review it can only help. Having a menu button has been gone since lollipop for a reason all apps have a menu key now much easier and more sensible to have capacitive recent apps key. I don't like using on screen buttons.
Here is an example but most reviewers are saying the same: https://youtu.be/PJ0fAzhtjeo?t=8m25s

Hi,
You can reassign the touch buttons by following the instructions in this thread: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-3289-1-1.html
Multitasking is called (correctly) 'Overview' since it's an overview of the running apps, not multitasking, that means operating with multiple tasks at the same time.

Thank you so much bencebacsi incredible advice.. I read your posts and now using buttons remapper no root. Back is on the left, home center and recent apps right the way android is supposed to be. Incredible. Thanks. You should consider making this the norm. All the best
