Hello,

just to say that i have a very bad 3g/4G connection with this new phone. No problème with my honor 7 in the same place.
What can i do to solve this problem.
I am in France .
the spefication in your website :

GSM: 850(B5)/900(B8)/1800(B3)/1900(B2)
WCDMA: 850(B5)/900(B8)/1900(B2)/2100(B1)
LTE FDD: 2100(B1)/1800(B3)/2600(B7)/800(B20)

The band caracteristic are Ok for france but i don't have a good reception.

Do i have to unlock something because in MTk engeneer i don't find all of this band ( WDCMA 2100 for exemple ).

Regards

Hello, I also have the problem that the reception is always gone. It always goes from 4G to e. If I leave the UMI Z on the table remains the reception on 4G. If I take the UMI Z in the hand the receipt goes away. I then took a silicone case from another cell phone. This solves the problem. Unfortunately one gets no help from anyone, not from Gearbest and not from Umidigi.
Umidigi does not even answer.

Greeting Axel

This is weird because I'm French too and I feel exactly the same. I feel like the that the 3G/4G signal pretty often falls to zero for no apparent reason, just because I moved by 1 meter, and or took the phone in my hand, or whatever.

So I wouldn't say the reception is bad, but I feel like the signal often cuts off very suddenly.

My sayings are based mostly on the visual of the signal icon at the upper right of the phone that I see dropping to "zero" more than on my day to day experience for now.

I try this

A solution taken from another post, you could try changing your band mode by entering *#*#4636#*#*  in the dialer > phone information > press top right three dots > select radio band

I chosed EURO and it's very better.

Same observation. When I unlock my phone the symbol 4G is present with a good reception and 2 seconds later I no longer have the symbol and I go back in 3G with a very bad reception.

Merci beacoup !

Can't say yet if it's better or not since I'm at work and I can't test it but at least I googled about it and learnt a few interesting things

Actually, I used the EngineerMode code :

  1. *#*#3646633#*#*
Copy the Code

Then Telephony -> BandMode -> SIM1

And I only kept bands used in France

  1. EGSM900 (2G)
  2. DSC18000 (2G)

  3. WCDMA-IMT-2000 (3G)
  4. WCDMA-GSM-900 (3G) (don't need this one if you life in the city areas)

  5. Band 3 (4G)
  6. Band 7 (4G)
  7. Band 20 (4G)
Copy the Code

Comments

it's not a good idea, because you'll have to do a reset factory when you switch to airplane mode, you can't return to phone mode, but thanks by the way  Post time 2017-2-26 00:56

After a day I can not say I am satisfied. My honor was better under the same conditions. As soon as I turn on my phone I have the 4G logo but after a few seconds 3G without reception. And when I play with the bands it comes back. Very strange .... waiting for umi answer

Exaclty the same for me, the 3G/4G acts very strange and my Oneplus One had no problem.

Also yesterday I got disconnected 2 times in 5 mins during my phonecall, in a place I never had a problem before.
