Bad GPS Signal in Germany

Hello,
The GPS signal in Germany is quit bad, I get only in best case 8 to 9 satelite. I have read that it's able to update the file gps.conf with europe satelite.
The problem is that you need to do that requires root rights.
Please advice wht to do to get better GPS signal.

The same in Italy.... maybe the gps driver

I think that in the gps.conf file the Chinese satelite are listed. This has to be changed to Europe. But this can only be done with root rights.

@UMIDIGI: Please help to solve this problem.

Hello,

i had this problem too. outside my phone found just 4-5 satellites.
I flashed the ROM with factory reset and now its back to normal ( 10 satellites ).
I live in Italy

Latest update is fixing whole GPS issues. Sometimes you need perform factory reset before updating or use SPFT and flash whole ROM to remove all errors. Here is SPFT instruction

Do not touch last one 4,4V And 3800 mAh if you still have original battery

\n\nI have the same problem, but It's only with Google maps. I have download navigon and the problem has gone, don't know what is the solution in other apps like navigon.

PS: I live in Germany too.

Hello,

Another example of a problem fixed by reflashing the ROM. Maybe we should do this with the phone when we first take it out of the box.

My phone is since 3 month in duty. Are all the data gone when reflashing or should I make a backup and after flashing restore?

Do back up first before flashing/factory reset. Just to be on the safe side.
