Hi all!
Newby here from Italy. I m reporting issues with gyro sensor. It freezes sometimes and requires a reboot to fix.
The phone arrived to me with that sensor frozen. Is someone experiencing this issue as well?
Thanks!

Same issue here. First all photos where upside down. After rebooting in safe mode, and then back to normal mode, the sensor was fixed for a while. But just now the screen was rotated and frozen on landscape, after receiving an SMS.

I have installed and used the tool nullinger references and will see if this solves the problem.

Hi, i received my UMI Z pro today and had also issues with the gyroscope. Pictures wont rotate in the gallery, youtube did not turn to fullscrenn after rotating the phone. I tested anything i found, even recalibrating in engineering mode. But i found a way to fix the problem and now everything works fine .

This is what i did:

1) open call dialer and type in *#*#3646633#*#*
2) You will be transferred to engineering mode - hardware testing - sensors - sensors calibration
3) clear calibration

4) recalibrate

But this did nothing, same issues as before, so i cleared the calibration again. (no idea if it works only if you clear the calibration or not)

Then I went to the playstore and searched for "sensor calibration" and the first tool i found was "Quick TuneUp-Phone Calibration".
After i read the comments i didnt had much hope it would change anything, but i gave it a try.
After installation i used the sensor calibration feature and rebooted my phone and now my sensors work fine, hope this helps you guys.

You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/ap ... s.quicktuneup&hl=de

As the first poster mentioned a reboot fixes the issue (for a moment). Are your sure your reboot after running the tune-up app didn't just fix instead of the app it self?  Post time 2017-4-6 12:28

Hi
If you didn't have this issues on previous firmware and you don't want waiting for next update  ...

Hi UMIDIGI!
I'll wait out for the next update to see if it fixes the issue. The gyros are as good as "dead". Reset my phone for the 4th time. Rotate was active..It rotated from portrait to landscape but to get it back was almost impossible, short of turning off the auto rotate. Sensors calibration was of no effect..lemme get my phone (now charging) back on air to show some screen shots later.

I have (had?) high hopes for this company...
Just don't go down the same road as xiaomi or oppo or Huawei (your fellow "big time" China brands, which I won't buy here in Singapore)...Don't bite off more than you can chew...Your loyalty programme will suck if you're not loyal to your customers. Ulephone and Elephone not a big following here as well.
Those who bought your phones, regardless of model, believed in you - lose that trust and you'll never make it.

Customer support will help you to achieve your ambitions, not just selling reasonably priced phones with flagship specs hardware...stabilise support first, then you will have a good customer base..learn from the mistake of Asus who tried to do the impossible. They failed as far as I'm concerned - that's why I took the risk (NFC and 64GB RAM was a deal breaker for me) and made an exception for the Z Pro.

Cheers!

P/S - issues raised and not attempted to fix (there are users willing to be Beta testers I trust) by next update, I'll tell my local friends to never trust any China brands ever again...................

It seems GoogleFit is the cause of the gyro sensor freezing. No googlefit, no freeze.

Edited by houtini at 2017-4-3 17:37 \n\nHi,

I have the same problem.
I don't know if I had the same issue in previous version because I updated to latest version when I received the phone.

Did you reproduced the problem ?
Is it under investigation ?

Thanks
