I am having trouble with the original USB cable from my UMI. Z only loads the smartphone and does not do file transfers (MTP), Transfer photos (PTP) or MIDI. I'm using another USC type C cable and it's working properly, some solution.

I have tried 3 cables since it stopped working here, and that did not change anything.

It is confus ...

I think that the problem is W10. It had the same problem with different Chinese phones (included UMI Z). I don't know why, but W10 cannot install the drivers itself, but here the solution. You don't need to install nothing, all is "inside" W10:

You must connect your phone to the computer and check that the phone is not visible for W10. Then you must access to "Device Manager" (sorry, I use W10 in Spanish and I'm not sure if the translation in English version is with the same words), then you will see your smartphone with an alert (I don't remember but I think it will appear with a yellow triangle or something like that). Then you must click on it with the right button of your mouse and select something like "Update Driver Software". Then click on find driver software in your computer or something like that. Then in the new windows, select choose from a list of my computer.
Now I don't remember the next options, but more or less:

- If there are several options:
Then, on the available options with the word "MTP", select the one "MTP USB" or something like that.

- If there is a list with different things (audio, battery, disk drivers...) select Android Device. Then I don't remember if it is all or you have to select in the next windows "MTP USB" (the step before).

After doing these steps, your UMI will be visible for W10. I think you have to do the same steps if you connect your phone in a different USB port.

Neither enabling USB debugging works, I've installed drivers and everything but I'm guessing it's the cable because I have another USB cable and it works without problems.
Thank you Tiagomalta!

It even worked the first day of use, but I do not know if it was after I put it to charge the charger. I have an extra cable that I bought along with it and it is functioning by charging and transferring. How do I order another original cable.

On my Z connecting to the computer ( windows 10 pro ) it worked right away, but thats no longer the case.
I need some sort of driver that windows can find but not install.

When it was working the first time i dident have to do anything just plugged phone into computer with the provided cable, not sure if it is new OTA updates that have changed this, or it have been me disabling stuff on the phone i would never need anyway.

My phone figure as a unknown device on the computer, when i then try to update the driver win 10 can find something online but can not install it.
There is a win 10 MSG that say " a paragraph for installation of services in this INF file is invalid" ( translated from Danish to english )

I thank everyone for the feedback, unfortunately I discovered that the problem is physical even with the USB cable on the communication port with the smartphone. I squeeze the tip and connect on the mobile phone appears the transfer option I always have to proceed that way. I give a tight one at the end of the cable then it works the transference. Do what né, ask another they will not send me, stay in harm. Good thing I bought another together like the smartphone.

I have tried 3 cables since it stopped working here, and that did not change anything.

It is confusing it worked with nothing to do on day one, but then suddenly it will not work and my PC is saying all manner of stuff where on day one i just plugged in the phone and a few seconds later my computer had installed driver or what ever it need to do to be able to see the phone.

My computer can still see the phone, but it stop in the middle of the driver install as it say there is something wrong with the driver so it cant install it.

Anyway also not a big issue for me, only thing i can think off is getting a picture taken with the phone off it, and that i can still do by mail if need be.
