Cannot connect to PC

Good afternoon all,

I am having a problem connecting my new IRON to a PC running Windows 7 (Home Premium)

It is coming up as USB device not recognized, are any others having the same issues?

I have changed USB setting on phone to MTB, USB storage or camera with no luck. Tried several USB cables and ports and have removed all other USB drivers but still no luck.

Even unistalling and re-installing rootjoy program does not make a difference.

Any suggestions would be welcome, many thanks in advance.

Hi Bancebacsi,

I have tried booting into recovery mode and it does not come up as you suggest it may, when connecting to USB with phone off within the device manager it still comes up with USB unknown device.

I will have to try it on another PC when I get the chance as I only have the one at home. I have tried 7-8 different cables on all 6 USB ports so doubt it can be that.

I have managed to get into recovery mode again with no difference. I shall try another PC when I am able

First i tried the one from UMI, i am quite dissappointed about, that this really good looking and in my opinion of high quality dilivered cable doesnt work to connect the phone to the PC.

I then tried one from my old Samsung Galaxy S2, didnt work either.
Then i tried a second one from Samsung. It finally worked then...

I have no idea what the difference is now between those three cables. I dont know why two of three dont work although they are actually used for the same task ~.~

Hi had the same problem. Use another USB cable. UMI original USB cable that came with charge does not work. In windows 8.1 i had to install mt65xx drivers manually.

Would be sad, if the UMI cable is defective... charging with this cable works, but data transport doesnt it seems

Do you have some solutions?
Edit: [Problem Solved] Turns out problem was with the MT65x3 drivers. Installed the drivers from this guide: http://itechify.com/2016/06/18/r ... oid-umi-smartphone/

Try it with a different cable.
I couldn't get to work with the Umi cable, had to do it with another one.

Abaut problem / Driver MT65xx preloader signature is disabled /

TAKE THE SD ,SIM OUT OF THE PHONE!

Try to / hold volume+ and connect to PC / and flash stock rom on SP Flashtool!

Тhen turn phone in to USB charge for 5,6 min.

P.S Оther cable and PC will not help!
