My phone is less than 3 months old. I'm not expecting something like this to happen this soon. Your advice and help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a very similar problem with my Umidigi Z2.  My phone turns off after a light bump.  Then I try to charge it and it won't charge more than 19%.  After disconnecting it, it goes back to 0% battery.  I contacted Umidigi and even though it was still under warranty, they wanted me to send it over to China (cost prohibited).  They told me they would fix it, but that I needed to pay for the parts needed.  They don't have a U.S. service center and even if they did, why do I have to pay while it is still under warranty?  Not at all a reliable company.  Now I know their phones and service are just trash.

I sincerely apologize for my late response. NO, I didn't get any response from UMI. I took it to a local engineer and helped fix it. However, I now have another issue with my UMI Z2 pro. The battery is faulty. It will show a charge of 100 percent, but the phone will not power up. I have contacted UMI again, but no response. This is most likely going to be the last time that I will purchase a high spec phone from UMI ever again. I may still buy the budget phones they produce that's less than $100. At least if it spoils, it won't hurt as much as Z2 pro hurts that developed a fault with less than six months of use.

Hi, have the same problem, keeps doing that and getting really hot. Had it working a bit by charging it while I started it, but now that also stopped working. What the heck to do ??

My z2 pro happens the same, and exactly after 3 months of use. Did you get any response from umidigi ???

I think the problem is with android.
Go to the ROM topic and Flash the phone with the latest rom.
Use the download option.
It will solve the problem.

After all the issues I've had with Umidigi and their pathetic support system I will never ever EVER again buy any Umidigi product and I will make it a point tell everyone that I know not to do EVER buy anything branded Umidigi.
