Umi Super Phone rebooting.
Hi
When new phone received the first thing I did was fully charge it.
Then turned it on and saw that it worked ok with native Android V6.
Without inserting sim card I downloaded Android V7 via WiFi and installed it with start as new option selected.
Appeared to start installing.
Then it rebooted & rebooted & rebooted and won't stop rebooting.
I tried instructions of power off, up volume & power buttons together.
The No Command screen came up with Android logo man.
Power+ up volume + down volume togther only gives me Factory Mode.
I am not able to continue from either of these screens no matter what button combination I press.
Really sick & tired of trying to get this phone to work.(this is the 2nd phone of this model...1st worked well on V6 for 6 months;until I updated to V7)
Both times it has been immediately after an Android upgrade to V7 & both problems the same.
I contacted seller who finally admitted there were other complaints & it is from a faulty batch and would refund but they won't accept that 1st phone is faulty as well.
Go figure that.
i wouldn't send the 1st phone back as it has all my credit\other cards, contacts & site passwords on it and i can't wipe them & don't want a heap of other problems.
My final approach will be to remove & replace the battery when i get repair tools I have ordered but at my age i will probably wreck it in the process.
Anyone got an actual, alternative, solution to this problem(apart from stomping on it and throwing in bin?
Bri

Yes you can, but it's hard to find the right drivers (and get W10 to accept them). Google and read guides. That's how I (eventually) succeeded.  Post time 2017-6-9 15:23

I also have windows 10 and installation of the drivers went without any hiccup. I've used the signed ones present in this (super) forum. I think if you update it via the spft it will work OK after.

Thank you
Would you direct me to the signed win10 drivers etc.
Any help you can give to an 82yo Android dummy would be greatly appreciated.
I have searched and searched and looked at so many methods & info that I am now totally confused.
I really don't know what I am looking to find.
This is my last throw of the dice before I resort to opening it; but since it is non functional, i have little to lose.
Since I am a Win 10 devotee I also use Bing as my search engine.
iI also have had about 5 different windows 10 phones which i like a lot but Microsoft has dropped the ball and appears to have given up.
So I am forced to go to Android to get the apps I need to use.

This is the thread I've used. In the link use the signed drivers. If this doesn't work try to find a computer with windows xp..it seems it's easier like that. I'm also far (I mean really far ) from  a expert, I think I had luck with my laptop. Try with several computers.

If you get it set up..then use the latest rom available. http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11330-1-1.html

Thanks once again
Trouble is I am now gun shy.
Think i will forget Android for bit and let one of my grand kids have a go.
My batting average is not too good with 2 out of 2 phones having same result.
I have returned the 2nd phone but 1st one is still unusable.
Your's and other replies were greatly appreciated

Hello!
I have some problems with a umi super android 7.0 compilation 7.01_20170308

The problems are
-sim disconnect... but i think the problem it is that the mobile reboot sudenly. Each some minutes (it may be one minutes or 8hours) the mobile asked for pin for sim and pin for mobile.
-bluetooth: each night i switch off the mobile. The first call in the ca (via bluetooth) soung in the other site of the call... but not in my site. The second call that is all right. It is not a problem in car.
-wireless: coonect ... and after same variable minutes the mobile dissconect from wlan... putting a message like "error in autentication". Some minutes later the mobile is connected. Is it not a problem in access point.

Can you help me?

Regards
Eduardo
