Hi!

I am so tired to fight with Nougat's lot of bullshit. I decided to downgrade my lovely Umi Max back to Marshmallow.
As i read forums, topics, i found many issue with the downgrade.
I dont want to make a brick phone, so i ask you.
Is anyone here who made a flowless downgrade on Umi Max?
Thx

It is a simple, slow charger. 5v- 1A, but with Android 6 it could charge the device within 2 hours.

Sorry but I can't confirm this informations.
Just to check your theory I flashed my max to android 6.0 and tested for charging time and was 4H from 1% to 100%.
Also I tested on my super too on Android 6.0 and still is 4H but on pump express 1H and 45 M to 2H 25M

HI,
Sorry for the bad languange but i am really frustrated as u wrote.
Same charger same device with
Android 6: Charging time 2 hours, running time 2-3 days
Android 7: Charging time 6-8 hours, running time less than 1 day

So there is no charger problem, there is a nougat problem.
Do you know about the next android 7 update's release date for Umi mAX?

thx

No
I didn't experience any issues.
Only follow this SPFT instruction
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11-1-1.html
And here you have all available ROMs
http://community.umidigi.com/forum-133-1.html
But all memory needs to be wiped (user data etc.)

Thanks for your answer.
I made a fresh, clean install of latest Android 7 (170413) with SPFT.
I think (as i read) the Nougat makers fucked up something on the energy management, included the battery draining and slow charging.
I am so sad because i like the Nougat but i hate that i need to put my phone on charger every night although it has a 4000mAh battery.

Hi
I understand your frustration but please stop using bad language.
A lot people writing strange stories on Internet but we testing also fresh ROMs on our testing devices supplied by umi/Umidigi.
We know about slow charging problem on umi super (because is coming with pump express charger) but umi max is coming with slow charger and we don't see problems on slow charger as is taking about 4-5 hours to full charge.
Definitely after clean install of android 7.0 we never face any battery drain and phone was lasting similar time as on Android 6.0.

Every umi max was supplied with slow charger 5V 1A. Maybe seller changed / mixed up  something as only umi super was supplied with pump express.
Could you please take pictures of charger details and provide here.
