I recorded a video today showing the read and write speed difference between the Iron and a 2012 nexus 7 tablet on the same pc with the same cable , moving in and out of each device 2 videos of a total approx 21MB.I think anyone can see the significantly slower speed of the iron.

Nice video. I calculated 1 MB/s transfer speed for the Iron.
Nexus 7 seems like at least 10 times faster.

For me its very slow, too. Maybe the UMI officialls will see this and get to know its not our or our Computers fault. They will finally see, that this is their company fault! Like all bad things with tge IRON. Very very VERY VERY bad Company UMI!

These results correspond to the USB 1.1 (12 Mbit/s=1,5 MB/s) speed. You can measure the exact transfer speed by using Total Commander with MTP plugin. Quite an awkward issue in 2015 anyway. A UMI team member reported today (by replying my request), developers are working on this problem. No release date for the update has been announced.

Propably they set USB as 1.1 version only. Hard compatibility ;-)  Post time 2015-10-2 03:35

That's a firmware issue and UMI developers are working on it... if they're not on holiday actually.
