There is also the BIG issue with the WiFi. It stays ON although it is switched off. This drains the battery unnecessary. Also the same issue is with their flagship S2 (have one as well). It seems umidigi cannot properly implement WiFi, which further interferes with the mobile communication. One has to wiggle switching On Off the WiFi to get the data flow on track. Overall very jerky performance.

Please go to settings - Wi-Fi - gear icon in top right corner - network notification Off Also you can change settings of keep Wi-Fi on during sleep to Never. This will stop showing Wi-Fi on battery list if is not in use.

I just received the new OTA update: UMIDIGI_Crystal_V1.1_20171023_20171023-1610

Honestly there is a big improvement in phone performance. It's much smoother and the jerky scrolling issue is not there anymore. I will test whether there is still the Bluetooth disconnection problem and will report back here. So happy with this update
Edit: I tried my bluetooth headphones and speaker for around 2 hrs continuous use. No problems with disconnections, so the update has fixed the issue!

Yes updated to the new firmware V1.1_20171023.

a)Correct the notification flow is better. no stalling seen so far.
b) But there is no security update. The android security patch level is still dated 5th July 2017 while there is a major security update by google in October. Please release the update security patch.
c) The device is still not secure, though not rooted, device still has BusyBox installed and failed the SafetyNet Compatibility test with the device integrity identified as false.
Other issues yet to verify. Not listed in the update details of the improvement but just indicated as bug fixes.

The nav bar also change you can use it without to pop up it , you just swipe up at the position of "back" and goes "back" and also for other two "home" and "recents" .To pop up nav bar you just swipe two fingers up

I was rooted and couldnt update so last night flash the rom with sp flash tool. Very nice update the last one,  especially fixing this scrolling lag it was terrible.

If someone wants to try with rooted phone xposed v88.2 works fine. Just install xposed installer and install the framework normal from the phone not from the recovery. Use Module Gravity box (Nougat) the mods works almost everything, galaxy s8 navigation bar module it works fine also very beautiful nav bar.

I have crystal 2/16 version UMIDIGI Crystal V1.0_20171026 maybe for us just add this feature or maybe I didnt notice it before
dont know how to activate it again, in settings didnt find anything
About xposed you have to be rooted, in "developer options" enable "root device" and follow the instructions (I have enable also "OEM unlocking" )
download the xposed installer,install and open

now press to install xposed framework v88.2 it will pop up super su for root permission and you have to Grand  
device will reboot (if it stuck to umidigi logo switch off phone by pressing power button untill the phone switch off and power on again it will be fine)
by pressing the 3 lines on the up left  for the menu you will see download by pressing you get in the modules

thank you. This works fine for me. Xposed and modul GravityBox (N) solve the problem, in gravitybox you can switch on "extended desktop" and disable navigation bar. With the app "Swipe navigation" from google playstore the buttons of the bar are no longer necessary. And GravityBox has so many further possibilities.

At the moment i have no serious problems with the crystal. GPS works fine for me, the fix needs only 7 sec outside and is stable. Bluetooth connections also working good. Only camera could be better. I hope, umidigi solve this in new firmware.
