I just created my account to complain. So beware: Wall of text.

I bought my UMI Super about a year  ...

Hi,

Performing a factory data reset was a good idea but that would be even better to flash the Nougat ROM with SP Flash Tool. Also go to 'Settings --> Location --> 3-dot menu button in the top right corner --> Scanning' and disable both bluetooth and wifi scanning. Use the original or another PE fast charger, not an HTC charger.

After the factory reset, battery drain stays at the same height. I can say this for sure after having used it for a few days now.

Last night I went to bed, phone at 100%, read my ebook a little, switched off with 97%. This morning, after about 8h later, I had only 82% left. GSam shows, the phone was awake most of the time with the awake time being the same a time required by ma_wakelock. Strangely, GSam shows that WIFI was on all the time, but I had switched it off.

I did switch off the positioning options as you suggested, but it didn't help.

Next step is to freshly flash the ROM through SPFT and see if that finally helps. If not, I will go back to Android 6.

Also, the charger issue with my HTC charger got worse. It now won't let me charge 36%. This is absolutely ridiculous. Before the update, it worked just fine up until 100%, just took a little longer. Connecting via USB to the computer works and it charges, but takes forever.

The only thing that improved after the factory reset is bluetooth connecting. This seems much better than before, when I connect it to my car radio unit. Before the reset, I could enable BT, then connect to the radio (took longer than on A6), but when I switched of the car and got in the next time without switching off BT, too, it wouldn't connect. Now it seems to work as before again.

I had all those stated problems... the solution, for me at least... got back to 6.0, all problems solved.
Final thought, UMI/UMIDIGI, never again ("cheap phones" great loss of time and patience).
The excuse often used by some, that we should not expect mutch for the price, is not acceptable.

I guess you flashed and did a complete fresh start, right? No persistence of old data and such?

I am just wondering. I am not new to flashing phones, but I never tried doing a downgrade without a wipe and wonder if that even works or what is happening.

Answering my own question: The flashing automatically wipes the phone data, too. Not even backups are automatically applied afterwards.

Anyway, I am back on Android 6 now. Battery drain seems fixed immediately and I can use my old HTC charger again at work. No idea what that charger issue is about. I would be interested about details, but actually it makes no sense to me from my observation.

Well, it's game over now. Super went mad.....display living its own life. Sometimes react for finger touch, sometimes not. Sometimes opening apps itself and writing alone. Factory reset gives no help. I think it is hardware problem and there is light pale color in upper right corner. No cracks.
I tried to put another SIM-card, but can't use keyboard. Nor can't connect to wi-fi.
This phone comes two years old in next summer, so there is a warranty left????
I have changed battery about year ago by  myself, so is there warranty?
I am so tired for this Umi Super.

Hi,

You can buy a new USB board here: https://goo.gl/jAhhos
You also should check the output voltage of your charger, maybe that caused your issue.
