For example, manual ISO setting is a manual feature. That's not supported by all phone cameras but ...

My 2 years old low end Huawei G510 had this manual iso feature. But I don't except outstanding camera features. That's why I've written that camera2 would be a good thing but it doesn't essential for me. But the bug fixes, like hdr, flash is essential. And an optimisation to the picture parameters (sharpening, noise cancelling, lens color correction (this is the most important to me))  would be good too.

Any new findings about custom roms?

There's a new colleague at UMI to handle these problems who is more younger and more often unavailable (at least until now) and we've just got started to know each other. He is hired to be the contact between users and UMI core, but just started his job right now. So, we have to wait for some days again.
Well, I can ensure you, I'm not a pathological liar, I just report here what I know at the moment.

I just want to add something to pissed off thread

1. I flashed official 1.6 - was stuck in welcome screen, problem with google account (reported by 2 other users in iron thread)

2. I flashed official 1.5 back - was stuck in welcome screen. problem with "checking connection" (reported by one other user in iron thread)

3. I turned the device off and probably my usb port burned out, the phone was connected to PC and the battery was full but while it was turning off it showed battery empty full screen animation and it went dead. Cant charge it, cant connect to Pc, it is a giant brick.

4. I bought it at banggood.com and normally they are eager to respond but for some reason 2 days in a row no one wants to talk to me or respond.

I had the phone 1 day, so imagine how pissed of I am

Moderators do not know if the problems are being corrected, do not know if UMI take out cm12.1 for iron, it is assumed that you are our intermediaries with the company.

all they do  to, empty responses not going anywhere.

The upcoming update will be released next week according to the recent (today) info. No info about a CM12 release. There's a CM11 logo placed at the bottom of the official add, but no written promise about a CyanogenMod release. Besides that I asked for it, nobody has talked about CM firmwares at UMI.

Alright ditched my Iron and bought Oneplus 1. I really thought that Umi support will stand out of the crowd in terms of bug fixing and rom porting. Good luck with your phone everyone.

Okay, that needs just another $55USD if 16GB is enough for you since the OnePlus 1 has no SD card expansion slot. However, for the price of a 64GB OnePlus one, you can buy a UMI Iron and an eMAX mini together. Or, if you buy a 64GB Samsung Evo microSD card ($21 on eBay) for your Iron, you're still under $200 with an 80GB phone, while the 64GB OnePlus 1 costs about $320 with shipping. As a conclusion, of course, you can buy an even better phone for a higher price.
