Hi almighty. Great to hear that it works for you too. Think umidigi should put this as part of the n ...

Yep, it should just work fine if you gave your channels on auto, also routers can't cast above channel 48 in the EU if they haven't got DFS.

Hello! I have asus rt ac56u router, it has only 4 channels ing 5GHZ wifi, (36,40,44,48). I can't change it to 149. I can't connect to 5 ghz wifi.. I use 2,4 ghz wifi, but sometimes is disconnect and connect again, I don't know why! I tested the speed and it is only 5 Mbit/sec. This is not the best! What can I do? Please help me? (I tried to set my wifi to every possibility but not ok) Thank you so much!

Having the same problem on the 2.4 Ghz, it disconnects randomly and when I wake up the phone it reconnects, I don't have this problem on the 5ghz band using a high channel, but on both bands the speeds are incredibly slow.

Since I cannot open a new topic, I will post here.

So I got the phone today. Is a piece of junk.
It is not a quad camera. It is a dual camera.

The Wifi is crap. I need to be within 1 meter of the router to get full speed. Otherwise Wifi is not working at all.

And all this in two hours since I got it.

I believe Z2 pro is much newer than many existing testing Apps available and so it is possible that not many testing Apps have ability to test more than two cameras.

Independent Youtube videos have showed there are indeed two cameras modules in both front and rear sides installed into Z2 pro.  How they are being used and programmed is UMI proprietary information which may never be revealed.

I myself would have no evidence to suggest the quad cameras are fake or not there.  However neither have we been told ways to make use the quad cameras abilities.

probably you are right. And I don't care so much about camera. But the wifi poor connectivity shows that either my unit has an antenna issue. If I get within 0.5 meters of the router, it wifi speed just jumps to full speed.

For me the wifi connection is far more worse on the latest rom version then it was on 0914 (wasn't great on this one too) which I used before 0926, speeds are terrible, connection on the 2.4Ghz band drops randomly, 5Ghz band will only work with just a few channels but it doesn't drop connection. The wifi on my old Z was a lot better then the Z2 Pro..

Here is an update of my z2 pro.

I have invested in buying two set of Tenda Nova MW6 mesh wifi, each set has 3 unit.  I am only using 5 units comprising of one hub and 5 satellites enabling me to have excellent wifi at every corner of the house.  My BT router is wired to the mesh wifi hub which appears to have two antennas giving a maximum of 866Mbps link speed at 5Ghz.  This I checked with a HP laptop showing that I could get the theoretical maximum of 866Mbps in nearly all places of the house.  The wifi speed of course can fluctuate but my mesh wifi is evidently ac standard compatible.

For the z2 pro initially I discovered it could be connected to this 5GHz band with a 433Mbps link speed using ac standard but soon after it stablized back to 2.4Ghz with just 72Mbps in my wifi mesh system  This convinced me, rightly or wrongly, that the z2 pro is unstable with the 5Ghz band as my older s2 pro, which has no ac wifi, has been consistently connected to the 5Ghz but with 135Mbps speed (possibly the n standard).

However I decided to further test the z2 pro by simply switching it off and restarted it after 20 minutes to get a "cold" start condition after the internal components have time to cool down.  To my surprise my z2 pro was able to connect to the 5Ghz and was able to report with the 433 Mbps speed for continuously for 5 hours!(up to now)   The 5Ghz connection strength varies from excellent (433 Mbps) to fair (86 Mbps) with the locations of the house.

I fully agree that I have overcome the wifi shortcomings of the Z2 pro by installing a full-blown mesh wifi system which cannot be regarded as an average condition.  Nevertheless for z2 pro users who bitterly complain the poor wifi performance perhaps could do with a cold condition start together with a location with adequate wifi signal.  This  may be fairer to judge the Z2 pro wifi connectivity.  In my case I cannot now say z2 pro does not connect to both the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands.  It may need "very strong" signal while other cheaper phones are apparently more capable in this department.  Z2 pro does periodically loses the connection to either the 5 Ghz or 2.4Ghz band and I am not sure if that is part of the Android 8 system's way of conserving the battery.

By the way I have been testing the 5Ghz band by watching some HD movies.

THX, really good test.
You proved that Z2pro badly needs a FW update to correct WiFi problems as the HW is there.
