I received my Umidigi Z2 Pro today, he is waiting for me at the relay point. (DHL and without tax )

I'll test it tomorrow and give you a first report. If there are many bug that would prevent the proper functioning of the phone or its use I will share it in a video on Youtube and broadcast the link. Obviously, if everything works properly I would also make a video to show it, there are few people who have done tests on the Umidigi Z2 Pro.
I hope it will not have as many problems as previous models.

Have figured out a couple of things.

WITHOUT SIM Installed
Recovery screen is in English (Vol+ & Power)
No issue with lock screen

WITH SIM Installed
Recovery screen in in Chinese
Lock Screen says Wrong Pattern even though it is correct.

I have reset the phone 3 times now and it does the same

Now I cannot enter my phone once I add a SIM to Slot 2. Don't have an adapter for SIM 1 yet. Cannot enter if it is a Pattern or PIN. Any suggestions??

Could you please swap sim card to different phone and deactivate sim card security request?

I continued to test and it would also do it regardless of SIM so I ruled that out. I updated to the latest ROM 20180830 and it does not address the problem. Do you want a video of this?

I received my Umidigi Z2 Pro (Twilight) yesterday!

Opening the package (not very well protected) then opening the box.
First impressions of the phone: Beautiful and good ends. The finishes are impeccable on all the outline, the back and the screen. The volume buttons move very slightly when you touch them but you do not pay attention.

The screen protector is already placed on the screen but it is not very good. The protective shell provided with the phone is thin and flexible and protects the phone rather well. Only flaw, she is black! A transparent shell would have been a plus.

Ignition of the phone, the screen is very beautiful and of good quality. Brightness very well both outside and inside. Phone setup and arrival on the android launcher.

Operating system very fluid and minimalist. (I advise you to take directly a new launcher type Evie, Apex, Go Launcher .. etc)

Test each item of the phone using a test application (Aida64) everything complies with the specifications of the phone.

Test of 2 SIM drawers, both work well.

Test the telephone network, the Z2 Pro picks up as well as my other phones.

Test download speeds, identical to other phones.

Test of the GPS sensor, it fixes well and quickly the position. (I have not yet been able to test it on the road so I can not give my opinion)

Tests of the frontal photo sensors. They work well for the moment, no bug.

Tests of the dorsal photo sensors. They work well for the moment. I did not notice the photo application bug at the moment.

Test the gyroscope, the calibration is good and the gyro works well.

Test the graphics card in the games (including PUBG) everything is smooth no slowing down, the phone does not heat up too much.

An option that I immediately removed because it annoyed me lol. This is the option to turn on the phone screen as soon as it is returned. I think it does not work well, too many false positives.

In the GPS usage options, there are 2 apps I do not know that use GPS and location:

MTK NLP Service
&
MTK NLP

These 2 system applications use GPS. I think it is a MediaTek service that manages maybe the GPS chip

Regarding the sound of the earpiece, I hear people well and they hear me well.

The sound from the speakers is not very powerful and a bit acute but it remains correct.

The battery holds the charge very well (do not forget to charge it completely after leaving the phone box).

My personal opinion about the phone. Good quality finish, very beautiful screen and very responsive (no slowdown). I think it is a little fragile, I do not think it will withstand a lot of falls;). Phone network and good internet speed, good GPS speed (I have not tested on the road yet) Fluid operating system but the launcher is not customizable enough (to change). For games, nothing to say, all I tested are fluids.

For now I do not see what else to add, if you have any questions do not hesitate.

Great review Geco.   I agree with you observations, but I do see the Photo bug. Have you turned on the lock screen as of yet?

Hello,

Yes I activated the lock screen but I chose an unlock by fingerprint and code.

Not by scheme I do not like it
