Hi, I'm from Canada too. I have 2 SIMs  from 2 different carriers(Bell-Virgin and Freedom-Wind)  and have the same problem with both.

When I put the same 2 SIMs into another phone, it let's me edit the APNs, so its not the sim but rather it appears to be the phone

I found that I am not alone here. Had the same issue for a month. WiFi connection drops off and only restart can fix it. Please provide a fix ASAP. It is very annoying. Thanks

But can you save APN on other phone?
Did you ask your network carrier for automatic confirmations SMS?
Why do you want change APN?
Did you try with completely different network provider but not with virtual/third party network?

Edited by argy at 2018-7-6 07:22 \n\nHi,

Just to check back in on the topic - unfortunately my wifi is once again not working well. It happens mostly returning to a known network that probably 1 out of 2 times it won't connect without a reboot. Less commonly it will also just disconnect from a known wifi connection.

I've tried forgetting the networks and re connecting and also reflashing the software.

Is there anything that can be done? This occurs to networks that are rock solid with all other devices connected to them.
Edit - just to add: this is with either 2.4, or 5 GHz conncections

Regards,

Yes but will they be issuing a fix soon? I'm assuming most of us have had several Android devices. This constantly dropping wifi is not something I've ever experienced before

Unfortunately a lot users won't read and follow recommendations.

Blame the users all you want. When multiple people are complaining about a serious flaw such as wifi dropping constantly I think an update is in order

Users with Wifi issues please share the brand and model name of your Wifi router, try to restore the router's factory defaults. Also try to connect to public WiFi networks.
Only 4 users reported here this issue and I can't find such complaints on any other channels (facebook, support email etc.). After quite a long time of usage I'never experienced any WiFi disconnection issue on my A1 Pro, I can't reproduce your case. If only a few handsets are affected, then it can be a hardware defection as well.

Bought the A1 for my wife. I'm not a newby. I've purchased over a dozen different Android phones. From my Nexus One to my One Plus One to my LG G6. I've rooted phones, changed ROMs etc. Have never had issues with wifi dropping.

It happens at our home. At her work. At our daughter's house. All different modems/routers.

I am telling you to change settings and you telling me that you had few devices and never experienced such issues.
Jesus.
Can you not understand that there can be two devices with same IP or other number?
Also you can delete all devices from your phone and router and then only pair those two devices and test.
