Actually I can not reproduce your issue and that has never happened to me, although there's a UMi Z been working as a daily driver around me since January. Maybe it's caused by specific battery management settings or who knows? I can't investigate your issue remotely. Have you ever tried to test your phone from factory state, without changing any specific settings or installing any user apps?
UMIDIGI is a medium small smartphone maker with relatively high amount of (about 10) models per year. So you can't expect updates to be released with the same frequency and for the same long time as much bigger companies and/or manufacturers with much less new models per year can, like OnePlus, that you mentioned. Telling with simple words: You can't use those resources, that you do not have available.
