I also have this problem, is bc of the iso i think. When you open Snapchat, you see a preview of your recording. When you are in a dark room or a place with not a lot of light, the camera will bump up the ISO to a higher number, like 1600. But when it uses a higher ISO, it also lags a lot, it feels like it itsn't responding fast. When you move your phone, there is also a lot of motion blur. But when you are recording, Snapchat doesn't want that your video is lagging and has a lot of motion blur, so it lowers the iso to it's lowest number. But if you are in a room with not enough light, it will look very dark. So when you are outside, there's a lot of (sun) light so it doesn't need to bump up the iso, that's why it doesn't get darker when there's enough light. Hope you understand me.
