I received my Z2 Pro yesterday - physically a great looking phone.. the software however has major issues;
- Fingerprint security (and a secondary check e.g pin) upon reboot, the pin is not recognised. I've wiped the phone several times and have tried various options but have yet to find a way around this apart from not configuring any security.
- The camera has multiple problems - Too dark then too bright and won't focus. App locks up and camara won't connect ( see attached pics of errors following a forced wipe with account or apps installed)
If you use the UI Tuner, selecting any config options for the buttons causes the device to lock, reboot and bring up an error message stating the data is corrupt. Only another wipe can fix this
- Wireless charging works once, then if the phone is picked up and put down it doesn't restart unless the charger is powered off and on. I've tested 2 wireless chargers ( both Umidigi) and both give the same result
Can we get an ETA on the reboot password lockout issue please as this has been reported by several people on this thread so is clearly a common problem.
Edit - I've updated to the current ROM, tested with and without SIMs (in both slots) on reboot and when wiped. i've no SIM pin setup, this is simply my the pattern or PIN setup during the initial phone setup.
Edit 2 - Issue 3 only occurred on the V1.0_20180830 update for me
Edit 3 - due to the quality of the responses from Umidigi on here (clearly not actually reading or acknowledging the issues we're experiencing from our so called "flagship" phone, i've contacted Gearbest to inform them that the item is not fit for sale, backed up by a link to this forum as well as pictures and videos of the issues. I suggest you all do the same as from the looks of the ongoing issues with the standard Z2 on this forum, we'll be waiting a long time for any kind of fix
