I cannot pass the first step - can't root...
Windows installs drivers but when I run the flash tool and try to download recovery file nothing happens...

May be you need to réinstall drivers in Windows test mod.
There is a process to turn Windows in test mod on Microsoft.
Do you try to flash with phone powered off ?
