Thanks @Raideon for your support and understanding!
Well @Guster and @MarcinP..i am not an engineer ...

But this what I can see is that you not using latest firmware.
Please update to latest available firmware.
Please go to settings - about phone - wireless update - check for updates or go here
http://community.umidigi.com/forum-150-1.html
and compare your build number. If OTA update is not visible you can update very easily with OTA zip file as local update.
Go to same link and pick next firmware version, then scroll for OTA update, download file to your phone, then open file manager - internal storage - download cut file and paste to internal storage. Go to settings - about phone - wireless update - top right three dots - local updates - internal storage - find file and update.
In this way you need go one by one update.
PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH LAST UPDATE IF YOUR BATTERY WASN'T REPLACED.

But i am.an engennier.
Do the Last update but it should be a hardware problem with the touch screen. If the update dont work contact the seller for a repair repair in warranty.

@Itsme007
Please flash your phone with the ROM everything will be fine again.

I have did it a few times.

Instead of suspecting dust, I suspect is a few water droplets on the screen of your phone make the screen go crazy. Could be the fileware problem, need UMI to confirm about this.  @MarcinP can you confirm on this?

You must flash everything to its original state to get rid of the problem, I have tried:
1. Flash all except recovery, userData, boot partition
2. Flash all except recovery, userData partition
3. Flash all except recovery partition

All of the above doesnt work until I flash all partition.

Hello @johnsonpua, Thank you so much for the suggestion , will try it out in a day or two, need to backup and store the data first.
Also I agree with the water droplets problem, but when the screen is full dry and there is no water / humidity on or around the screen ... still I observe this happening, hence I suspected it to be some dust causing the issue..

Hi All, the problem seems to resolved after I heat up my phone. You can try and combine multiple ways below:

1. Plug in the phone to charge
2. Leave the phone recording video for 20 minutes
3. Maximum brightness.

Problem resolved.
Will keep on monitoring.

Edited by ionicab at 2017-6-8 02:47 \n\n Edited by ionicab at 2017-6-5 22:33 \n\nI have the same problem with my Umi z. I have tried to leave it recording, but it keeps touching, even calling people from agenda. It is so dangerous to leave it unlocked ;). Now I have put it in the fridge. I really don't know what should I do...
Later edit: I shout down the phone and kept in the fridge for few hours. I waited after a while, power it on, the number of ghost touches reduced close to normal operation.

I Am experiencing the same problem. Ghost touches in the upper part of the screen. Mainly causing continuous popups of the quick settings menu.
First I tried locking the phone and cleaning the screen. As that seemed to help a little. I later concluded it was not caused by a dirty screen. But maybe the rubbing of the screen with a cloth bent the digitizer a little or warmed it up.
I hope to find the solution to the problem here, before I go into the process of returning the phone to Bangkok.
