Time to take affirmative action. (1) Stop using the phone and remove the battery immediately before it combusts. (2) Get a new battery and hope for the best. (3) Tell your seller and UMIDIGI  what you did and demand to be reimbursed. The battery is faulty from the factory, nothing to do with the way you were charging it. If you continue to use it it could combust and burn your house down with you in it. Look what happened with the Galaxy Tablets due to battery problems.

Hello! I have the same exact issue with my UMIDIGI Z Pro. It looks exactly like the pictures that were posted in this thread.
Would anyone know where I can purchase a replacement battery for the Z Pro?
I can't afford to wait for a replacement phone, so I am willing to buy a battery and have it replaced locally (and yes, I understand this will void my warranty).

Thanks!

There is a replacement program here on the forum (umi z) but nobody has gotten a reply yet after a week now. Umi is still saying that only a batch of 20 battery is affected and only the Umi Z. Well, it looks like many if not all Umi Z and Z pro users will will have there phones almost blow up.
I'm sure this brand won't last long if this issue isn't solved correctly and customers are served correctly.

#jing. .There are no replacement batteries available at all. Not in shops like DX, banggood and gearbest but also not at the factory. I also think you wouldn't want the same battery because it's clearly faulty and dangerous. I think umidigi knows this by now and that's why they don't respond and why there are no batteries available. Keeping their eyes shut and it will all be gone when they open them
