UMIDIGI Z Pro V7.01_20170710 Android 7.1.1 ROM - SPFT + OTA release

The phones loses signal and the notification tab shows "emergency only calls" even though the status bar shows full signal with a 4G bar.Restarting the device makes it work again.

No connection when switching to 3G/2G or 2G only.

Updated using SPFT method.

Hi Ben, what camera can not be improved? A Google play app: footej camera, sharper photos, an app that enhances the one that the device brings. Have a look at the devs. I do not understand "they're busy with other models". Thanks in advance.

Hi. Camera quality is the bad issue I have after update from MM to Nougat. Why camera quality decreased? I guess I will back to MM but I bought this Z Pro because promisse to update to Nougat. But this Nougat is bad software. Look, Z Pro has 10 core 4GB Ram but are they what for? Great hardware crap software. Sorry but it is the true. Some new update is coming to fix these? I hope so...

Sorry for not explaining well, you say that the camera has no more improvements and that is not true, it gives the feeling that once sold z pro abandon development, that is my question.

Can I get a show of hands as to how many of us on the forum would like to see Lineage (or any other Custom ROM) on our Z Pro's

I've had the Z Pro for a week now and I have noticed many niggling, intermittent issues with the touchscreen, fingerprint reader, bluetooth audio, app installation and synchronization. It pains me to say it but the software builds for this phone are just too buggy!
The support is unsatisfactory.

The new Nougat build is just as problematic.  Plus, a lack of system options leads me to wishing for a LineageOS port.

The Umidigi Z Pro hardware is more than worthy of a lineage port, official or otherwise.
Can we get any official word from Umidigi and MediaTek about the posibility of real release of source code so that the ever growing community of Umi / Umidigi smartphone users can get the very best value from their hardware?

There is an open petition to encourage UMIDIGI and MediaTek to release the Source Code so that developers can begin making custom roms for the Z Pro. Please sign. Thank you

Unfortunately there is not available and never will be available OTA zip file to return to Android 6.
You have only one option using SPFT with firmware upgrade option on.
All your data will be deleted.
