Edited by bigfootaus at 2017-1-26 15:31 \n\nOkay, I caved in and applied the beta to my phone! Pokemon GO and other security-sensitive apps are working again!! (Pokemon GO even seems to run smoother and have better touch sensitivity now, but I don't know if that's just me being excited or an actual improvement!) It seems like updating my OS fixes any security breaks that might've occurred to my phone in the old OS. Thanks to BC66 for testing the apps for me to let me know they work on Nougat!!
Bencebacsi, are there any plans to enable Daydream compatibility in the UMI Super? It's supposedly possible for root users by editing an XML file, but I'm still avoiding rooting as much as I can. Thanks!
EDIT01: As an awesome bonus, all I had to do to enable Daydream stuff was just install the three apps it requires: Daydream, Daydream Keyboard (a.k.a Google VR Keyboard), and Google VR Services. I will have a video in a few hours showing some screen capture of this - it's so exciting! A $300AUD Daydream phone!!! =D
EDIT02: So with the apps all installed and ready to go, I still get a popup saying "Incompatible Phone. A Daydream-ready phone is required. Visit the Daydream Help Centre for more information."
I was so close to easy Daydream VR! I'll really be looking forward to any Daydream compatibility plans for the UMI Super! Thanks! =D
