Updated my Crystal. The stuttering issue has been fixed which is great.

how did you fix the problem of the gps not working?

Sorry, i did not have problems with gps from the beginning with the device.

Compass is still behaving erratic and still no internal calibration app with the new firmware update.
Gyroscope which is software driven also has no calibration feature.

Still yet to test usability of compass and GPS on the road with navigation app.

it's strange

all we have problems with gps

try to:
go to option, localization, only gps;
google maps, say no at the question, see if you have gps working

No problem with gps also here(using crystal 2/16)
In a few seconds I get gps with google map and with Sygic also
I test also with "gpd test" app and get gps very fast
In settings location Mode is device only

Depends what you mean by GPS not working.Please download from play store GPS Test and test GPS in open space.

Of course nobody is stopping you to contact with seller and ask for solution.

Please open calling dialler and type in ( *#*#33#*#*  ). Then go to single test - GPS.
Of course do all this in open space.
