Just dropped and broken my Plus screen. I have dismantled most of it following a YouTube vised, but it doesnt explain how to remove the screen/digitizer. Any pointers would be apreciated!

Screen and digitizer are one unit.
This can't be repaired at home.
I can only recommend buy digitizer with screen as one unit.
To remove screen from frame you should use hairdryer etc. Please look here to understand what I talking about.

Edited by trev260764 at 2017-4-5 01:00 \n\nNew screen now fitted and this works fine

When dismantling I have broken the antenna connector socket from the PCB. Picture shows this part in fitted in place (the circular part almost centre), not broken-off as mine! I have sent my PCB to a phone repairer who specialises in Apple, apparently this can be re-fitted but the centre contact is poor and can't be soldered. Anyone know where the tracks go to beyond the socket, or if anyone can help with re-attaching this part successfully?

Sorry, can't help with the antenna issue - do you have any links for screen replacement instructions?  Managed to drop my plus yesterday and have smashed the bottom left corner of the screen

Hi
Hmmmm
This will be very hard to repair especially remotely.
I have two options.
1. Try refitt back connector and as I can see on pictures that this connector is pulled with motherboard line/track. So you need add some wire to join connector with next clean point on line/track.
2. Cut off end of antenna wire and solder antenna wire directly to clean points on motherboard lines/tracks
I think that you need some multimeter to check line/tracks etc.

See here I have done 2 now and not too difficult. Best to 'upgrade' to Android 7 first as the screens I purchased did not work on 6. Be careful when removing antenna - perhaps leave it attached... Heat screen with hairdrier to loosen adhevsive and screen will come out. New screen/lcd as assembly from Aliexpress. Let me know if you need any more advice!

Cheers Trev, was kind of hoping it wouldn't take a full tear down to do - naively thought I might just be able to hairdryer the screen off and get to the connector with just the back off

Am living with the screen as-is at the moment, the left button no longer works because of the crack but I can live without it for now...
