In october I bought a Umi Plus. I have some problems and I hope you can help me:
• The flashlight isn’t working, do you have any idea how I can make it work?
• When I use my phone in my car with Bluetooth there is no sound. I can’t hear the ringtone and I don’t hear the person I’m calling. The person I’m calling hears me good.

Please download and install the latest update in Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update
In an earlier update some bugs related to car bluetooth audio were fixed.
About the flash light, reboot your phone and try again. Also try it by using it with the camera. If not even the stock camera app can activate the flash light, it might be a hardware defection.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. The flashlight doesn't work most of the time, sometimes it's works when I power off my UMI PLUS but a half hour later the flashlight doesn't work anymore.

When I try the Wireless update, I get the message that the Phone is up to date! See the attachment for the details of my UMI PLUS.

Please let me know what I have to do to solve this problem!

Regards,

Grace

Hi,

Please flash your phone with SP Flash Tool as alex2k6 suggested. You can find the latest flash tool ROM here: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5069-1-2.html

Sincerely,
Ben

Edited by Grace at 2016-12-8 05:20 \n\nHello Ben,

I followed these instructions -> http://community.umidigi.com/for ... d=11&extra=page%3D1
The flash worked liked instructed but how do I get in Recovery? The instruction below doesn't work for the UMI Plus.

To do this;

One more thing you need to do is to clear cache and data, to have a clear installation.

1. Hold down VOL down and Power button,
2. 2 second after the ZERO logo appears let go of the buttons!
3. You should now be in the Recovery (you see a green Droid laying down)
4. Press the Power button once, and the Recovery menu should appear
5. Use VOL down button to go down the menu to “wipe cache partition”, and press VOL UP to confirm
6. After that, go down to «Wipe Data\Factory Reset», and press VOL UP again. (You will now delete everything on the phone!)
7. Go back; go to «reboot system now» and press VOL UP again, done!

After reboot device, we will have a totally cleared ROM installed.

Kind regards,

Grace

Hello MarcinP and Ben,

The ROM installation was successful and I got a Wireless update. The situation is as in the attached picture.
The problem with the flashlight still exist? What to do? Send the UMI Plus back?

Regarding Bluetooth volume... Make a call with Bluetooth connected and then raise the volume with the handset volume control. You will find an additional menu is now apparent when connected to Bluetooth - it will most likely be turned-down low!
