I was already satisfied with this phone and now I am happy. Good job UMI people !
The first fix was very long to get, several minutes but after that, it now takes usually less than 6 seconds (even after a reboot).

Oh, and I did not (have to) use FasterGPS this time.

On Android N final (I hope not), GPS works after a run of FasterGPS (root) but no Glonass satellites are received.
Real accuracy is about +- 10 meters which is bad.

Hello,

I'm replying to myself because I think I have found an explanation about the apparently missing Glonass sats thanks to the guy who devellop a great app called SatStat available on f-droid
https://github.com/mvglasow/satstat/wiki

He says that :
In a nutshell, each color stands for a location provider.

Red is GPS, though nowadays most devices also support GLONASS and/or Beidou. Those hybrid chips report all of these systems as extra GPS satellites, thus you get multiple systems under one provider.
Here's what I had while driving today : UMI_Plus_GPS.png

As you can see at the bottom of the screen, there are more sats than just GPS, I presume the others are Glonass Russian sats. But most if not all apps won't be able to properly identify them.

Here's what I had inside a 4 story reinforced concrete building at ground floor, near a window and an overcast sky while it was drizzling.

Regards.
