You could be not able recover your phone.

Hi,

That's not possible to root S2 Pro since the Efuse partition protection makes it impossible to flash modified boot and recovery images. On Android 5.1 or newer systems only systemless root can work, that's not possible to root the system without modifying the boot partition as well.
I shared this same information at least ten times already. Please try to read the existing threads here, not only open new ones.

Please, can someone try to do this procedure/tutorial from this site I found it?

https://www.androidvillaz.net/20 ... twrp-recovery.html/

It appears to be secure and new method. I need to know if it works or not to do on my S2 Pro.

Awaiting return. Thank you so much.

Here's a tutorial with resources about this method posted almost two years ago: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-2962-1-1.html
However, that doesn't work with the S2 Pro since you can't flash custom (TWRP) recoveries on it. Read back just one comment above.

Efuse cannot be disabled and cannot be removed. This is the reason they cant even change the OS to Stock Android.

Sorry, I posted the wrong URL. The correct URL of the tutorial to root and install TWRP on S2 Pro is:

https://www.androidvillaz.net/20 ... twrp-recovery.html/

Please, can someone try and tell if it works or not? I think this procedure is reliable and secure, but I need to know from anybody.

Tks all.

That's a fake news site. They publish fake information about rooting methods and Android Oreo updates in relation of many smartphone models.
