They already did a good job optimising MM and now Nougat, if they update it to 7.1 I would be delighted, but even if they don't I'll be ok, one major update iand a lots of minor updates are ok for this price range, especially when we talk about a small chinese company.
The price of the product shouldn't be used as a excuse for the lack of propely working updates.
I´ve been reading here and there, and it seems to me that there is much work to do on Nougat 7.0
So, why not the release the 7.1 to umi super?
with the latest ROM V7.01_20170607 my battery life is getting worse. I barely get through the day with a full charge.
Even if it is not upgraded to V7.1, the battery life needs to be corrected while the security patches should still be coming on quarterly basis as they got rolled out by google.
Thats not reasonable or acceptable.
There are a lot of issues and bugs that should be corrected.
I accept that they don´t release a new version upgrade but, at least UMI should release some updates till all or almost all bugs are corrected.
"All bugs" will never be corrected, in any piece of software. That's the nature of the trade. I actually find latest version reasonably bug free - No unprovoked crashes, all aspects of the hardware working as advertised. I admit I long for the super long battery life I had with Marshmallow, but that's hardly a bug, that I have to charge every night.
