I'm not sarcastic, but of all the phone brands I've had since 1997, the z pro is the only one that is full of bugs. I get out of a LG G4 and according to Umi's advertising, I expected something extraordinary, which for now is far from being the case. On the other hand, if android 7 rules (almost) entirely all the problems, then yes, I will have the phone I'm looking for, without having to spend 600 € because I'm looking for a very good photo sensor

What to do with what????
Android 7.1.1 is already released long time ago if you can't get through to OTA please use OTA zip file and follow instruction from here

But please update first version and then update to latest version. You need go one by one if you using OTA zip file. If you use SPFT you can jump directly to latest ROM.

I have had a strange issue, basically due to my Umi Z choosing to select 3g over 4g most of the time even when the 3g is fairly poor/slow I decided to have a play with my settings, I wanted to check that the radio band was set to euro and also change the preferred network types. However after having a look and changing a fee things now I keep getting .com.android.phone has stopped when selecting the radio band + if I have 3g on it keeps losing network for a few seconds every 10-20 seconds? To get round this I have installed MTK engineering mode and force my phone to use either 4g or GSM only as on auto it keeps dropping out!! Also now to add to my issues it will no longer send text messages......any help would be greatly appreciated

My Z seem to only want to use 4G, so if i drive thru a hole and loose data when i come out on the other end and have 3G in my display data still do not work, it will only work when i have found some 4G, and if that happen then it can also give me data if i fall back to 3G.

But after 1 - 2G connection then getting back up to G3 data do not work, and if i stay within 3G i have to reboot phone, but then i again get data on 3G.
Its a bit strange but dont really bother me a whole lot as i quickly hit a 4G area again, and even so 1-2-3-4G i can easy be without data on the phone or if need be even calls a whole day, that happen already in normal use, right now its been over 48 hours since some one called me, and that's pretty cool
But i think when my Z fail me one day i will buy a phone here in Denmark or EU at least and i will look at one of the major brands, i hear Motorola also have a pretty clean Android OS, and that's important to me.
Or "better" yet my dear sick old mother have died, cuz she is the only reason i have a phone, and with her gone i dont need to get a new phone at all.

I also tried to force the 4g only mode, and after that, I wasn't able to send text messages. I fixed it by reflashing the software with SP Flash Tool. Hope I helped you.

Do the signal drop now ? How did you reflash the software ? You did the first update of the phone and the last ? Or only the last one ?

A lot of time I have very bad signal. It still choose 3G over 4G. I reflashed the 7.1.1 ROM with SP Flash Tool (not the latest one with the notification panel touchscreen bug).

I have the same shit. My phone only 4g or e. I have many tweak in the build.prop. i test it how it works...i hope umi give US the source code or a big update for the bugs...i cant set Frequenz manual it close whit an error
