Hi there,

I just got a Hammer S.  Very excited, but one thing I want to do is have a look at what frequency bands are enabled.  This is because I want to turn off bands not needed in my country (UK) and to check that the 800Mhz 4G band is turned on (so far, I ahve not been able to get a 4G signal on the O2 network UK)

I thought I could use MobileUncle for that, but I am finding that in the Engineer Mode menu, there is no MTK mode, only 'Android'.

Please advise.

Thanks!

reverend

Hi reverend,

You might try to open EngineerMode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*
On the other hand, unfortunately, you can't change the available LTE bands and the 800MHz is not accessible due to hardware limitations

Hi reverend,

You might try to open EngineerMode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*

But the Official Specs for Hammer S are FDD 800/1800/2100/2600 so he should be able to activate or not this frequency in the Engineer mode even if it's activated by default in theory.

I'm not sure if that's not a typo in the official specs. The available bands can be checked and turned on or off in EngineerMode by going to Telephony/BandMode/SIM1 or SIM2.

That's been confirmed, the Hammer S supports the b20 LTE frequency. Btw, originally eMAX and Iron were advertised with b20 capability but they don't support it. The ads were modified later.
