The second beta version of the Android 7.1.1 upgrade for UMIDIGI Z Pro has been released.
This version already doesn not contain any serious bugs and all major features and functions work properly. You need to flash only the full ROM package to get a fully working Android 7.1.1 system.

When I read that it was a holiday in China yesterday I did a search and found out about the Dragon Boat Festival. Sounds like a fun time. Not sure about other countries in the world but here in Australia our media and government would like us to believe the Chinese workers get no holidays and work 24/7. I lived through the Cold War and never heard anything positive about China or the the Soviet Union. It's shameful that we are still fed the same bullshit. In the grand scheme of things your cultural holidays are far more important than a firmware update to my phone. I hope everybody had a happy festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival holiday was in China between 28-30 May, so nobody was really working. The OTA update is expected to be released on this Thursday.
The OTA update is almost ready to be released but as a reaction to the testers' feedback, some unplanned modifications are being processed causing some delay. According to the latest info, the SP Flash Tool format of the first final version is going to be released on this Saturday (I'll share it here in the ROM section as soon as possible), then after a few days of testing, it will be pushed to the OTA server as an official and wireless system upgrade.
Not ben, I think you got me wrong, I'm talking about an update that fixes the problems of 7.1.1 in z pro, these problems reported by all us users in the topics
When you open a 3th party camera app like Snap ...
It's about the lack of shutter speed control at some messaging apps and many smartphones are affected. In proper light conditions or using the flash light your videos won't be dark.
Is this battery drain problem that we have in Android 6.x finally solved?
Do the camera's in the Umi Z Pro finally behave normal in Snapchat etc? (while recording)
I would like to recommend this phone to my people in the Netherlands... but since this battery drains super quick and Snapchat doesn't work properly i can't.

I tried to share my connection 4G/wifi) via my access point and it seems it doesn't work... Share between Smartphone and my laptop is ok but I can have connection on internet after.
I have a question. Becouse have read very much about Updates to z pro, and now I'm confused... Will be there an update to Android 7.x by ota? Like other updates, or only to download over the Page and install On myself?

I like the other Launcher in first beta better, with the Android 7 features for holding an icon gives you options, why go backwards and use Android 6 style? , I thought these phones are meant to be stock android experience?
Also the scrolling up and down is better in the app draw and search at top?
Would like to see options for 360° rotation, I could with the Super on Android 7.
