Hi all, Only had the Phone 6 days.

I had high hopes for this phone, It was all ok, Got it because of the camera. It was working fine until I came to take a photo yesterday. believe I have faulty camera module.
Camera will not Focus distance, Selfe Camera works fine, Black and White lens works good, but the main camera will only focus in on something about 4-5 inches away.
Anyone had same?
Tried factory reset.
Reflash latest rom.
Believe its hardware problem.
Going to contact GEARBEST for Replacment.

Was happy with the Umi Super I had.

Anyone know best option for return post from UK? Thanks.
Also does anyone from UMIdigi look at these posts. as if I was to contact UMI direct would they send me out a camera unit I would repair it myself.

Just thought of another question. Does open camera let you pick which camera you want to use, like the color one only, or the monochrome one only?
And does it also allow you to select both cameras to use so that you get a better resolution pictures?
I'm just curious as I have open camera on my wish list and I'm waiting for my Z Pro to arrive.

Thanks for the info but I've tried lots of different camera apps, open camera included nothing works.
It's like its stuck in macro mode or something. Lens is faulty I'm sure of it.
hope it don't cost too much sending it back, hope new one is ok.

I've the same issue, I feel that the camera fails on focusing and results in blurred image with too much noice,
Even on a clear sunny day the result is simply disappointing. I'm not sure, if it's hardware issue or software but whatever it is, needs to be resolved.
I've compared my Nexus 6P with Umi Z Pro, here are the results. I had to resize the images but still the difference is pertinent.

Edited by JackDeth2 at 2017-5-28 03:06 \n\nUpdate,

So people know I have taken the Z Pro apart and it's the Camera module fowling on the outer lens or case, it doesn't let the mechanism move enough, so I have put some sticky foam tape cut small around edges to hold the module away.
Camera now works fine.
Although like the person above has mentioned with the sample pics, most images are blurry, seems like a lot of noise in the photos unless bright sunlight.
Added a photo 27 may to show what I did. IMG_20170527_200346_748.jpg

I am very curious how the Z1 is.
Even thinner, even less space for the camera.

If the camera actually has too little space and therefore not properly focused, then this is clearly a hardware problem.
I am curious how UMIDIGI wants to solve this problem
(or whether they leave us alone and do nothing.)
