After repeated assurances that my phone would be sent 'in 2-3 days' I was finally told yesterday that the phone was in Stock and would be shipped within 24 hours.

Having not received any shipment notification after 32 hours I contacted them again. While talking on live chat I received this email:

Deeply sorry for the inconvenience
We just got informed by shipping company of your parcel
The parcel was returned may caused for not suitable shipping method, How about change another model so to send from another warehouse or refund?

Regards
Taylor

[size=46.6407px]I am fuming! I have had lots of tech shipped from China and never had this issue. I think they are just using it as an excuse for lying about having it in Stock!

Is anyone else waiting for Tomtop to ship or had the same kind of email?

So Tomtop told me that they couldn't find a way to ship the phone to me in the UK. What a joke!

They offered to let me pick another phone but I declined and asked for a refund. I'm currently waiting for the money to go back into my PayPal account. Personally I think they have stock issues

Ended up buying on on aliexpress because I get 8% Cashback on Top Cashback. With all of the screen issues I also opted to take the UK warranty!

Gearbest seems the most trustworthy site to buy from China.
I don't know about the others, I ordered many items from that website and never got any issue (from HK to Italy).

For most of the products i buy from China, i use Aliexpress, they have this days count until you get what you ordered, if you don't get it within the counter is at 0 you can open a case and get your money refunded, but i have never used it, i have gotten everything i ever ordered, it's kinda like Ebay only it's made by the Chinese.

Gear Best has the option for insurance, at additional cost. Ali express are all supported by vendors. There will be mixed reactions. I have had good deals and bad experiences on AliExpress. Same on Gear Best.

I can feel the frustration when a purchase doesn't work out the way one expects, but sometimes it happens.

I sure hope you get your order (wherever from) to your satisfaction.

I agree. Use Aliexpress for most things I buy. It's pretty safe to buy from as you can claim if the goods arent received.

I bought the UMI Z Pro on Saturday. Price was pretty low when I looked and store looks like it has only opened so it will be interesting to see if they're the real deal.

Also get 8% cashback from Aliexpress here in the UK so overall the cost will be about £173 if this comes through.

With the screen issues being reported I also opted for the UK based warranty!!!!

We get 5,6% Cashback here in Norway, but i signed up for it too late.

I went with the Autorized Aliexpress store via the link at Umi's webpage. They have been live for a year and is the real deal.
