UMI Max cracked screen

Hi,
I've cracked the screen on my UMI Max, from the bottom corner to the top. The digitizer is also damaged as the area to the left of the crack is now unresponsive.

I have been looking online and can get a replacement screen and digitizer, but can't find any instructions on changing the screen.

Can anyone offer any advice on:

How easy is it to replace the screen?
Are the replacement parts genuine?
Are there any UK based companies that could fix it?

Any advice would be great.

I've only had the phone a few weeks.

The damage was the result of me dropping the phone, only about 30 cm, onto the floor, so i can't get the repair done under warranty.

Hi replacement of only digitizer is impossible at home.
You can replace screen with glass as one unit. Price is around €50 to €60.
I heard that some people bought on umi Spain and some sent devices there for repair. Cost including part is around €120 without postage.
Here you can see dissembling and assembling of umi super which is exactly the same as umi max.

You can always go to phones  repairing shop with your phone and new screen and ask for labour price.

There could be differences between old and new screen and sometimes you need update your phone to latest software. If your software is 20160923 or latest everything should be fine.

Thanks for the links MarcinP. I have contacted some local repair companies but none are willing to do the repair.  Will keep looking though.

Believe me or no but if you have a bit time you can do repair your self.
Did you looked on YouTube teardown? If you follow instruction you will get repair your self. With screen you will get basic tools which are compatible with umi max.

Umi max needs to be dissembled because connectors are under cover. But as you can see removing screen from frame is not that hard.

MarcinP I ordered the new screen yesterday. Hopefully, won't take to long to arrive, it's coming from China so could be anything up to 2 months.
I'll update once i've done it.

Every parcel from china I always getting in 30 days so I hope you will get in month time too.
Did you ordered from aliexpress and what type of screen (with or without frame )
If you ordered without frame I need advice you to think about double side tape for attaching screen to frame in case old tape get damag.
I saw that some shops supplying double side tape with screen so check again to be not disappointed later.
