Format All+Download. Remove the check button preloader.

Here is the deal. Brand new Umi Plus, successfully updated to Nougat 20161228 via SP Flash. When i try to downgrade to Marshmallow 20161019, operation successfully finishes and boots up with black screen. Phone boots up well but i can see nothing. Tried flashing it again with - preloader, again comes black screen. Only way to get rid of the black screen is to flash back to Nougat 20161228. Any ideas please ???

I had the same issue as well (Gave the device away) No matter how I tried to flash back to V3.01_20161009 or V3.01_20161019, everything was working except the screen was black with backlight on. My best guess is, they used new hardware components and the two old firmwares to not have the correct/needed drivers included. Do you remember with what firmware you got your device? Got mine with V3.01_20161117 but this firmware will not be published in SPFT format according to the dedicated ROM thread.

I posted about the same issue in a other thread (tried to flash TWRP but was not working) but no one did replay. Did you try to flash TWRP?

Anyway good luck finding a solution! If you find something would be nice to post

I dont agree with the idea of new hardware/old firmware because my Plus already came with a firmware 20161010, which looks like a unique one, and atleast 20161019 should be compatible with my phone. I see some other phones have the same problem and have their solutions already. The thing is, their solutions dont seem to fit Umi. I am still searching and trying to find the right steps to safely downgrade to M.
